We learn to write songs on our own instrument and in ableton. We make recordings of acoustic instruments, but also work with synths and drum computers. We learn how to use a microphone and how to mix our recordings into a finished whole. You also learn to record and mix other bands. We work in classes with the Ableton program. At the start of the year you will receive a license from ableton Intro that you can install on 2 computers. Having a computer at home to work on assignments is necessary. A laptop to take to class is useful but not necessary. Sometimes I will ask you to bring your own instrument to class.
