Vision

This is what we stand for

Our team is working hard on a new vision text / Artistic Pedagogical Project (APP). The following keywords will be central: fun, working together across the boundaries of subjects, genres and disciplines, coming out, space for experiment and adventure, care and attention for each individual, community, beauty and emotion, authenticity, creativity. If you want to read the old APP, you can request it via the SAB secretariat.

Friends' Association

The Friends Association supports the academy by helping to organize performances and events (including major projects such as 'Olaf in Tokapa', the Treffen, the annual party, the classic New Year's concert, the award ceremony, etc.); by contributing financially and logistically to internships and camps; by offering a helping hand at auditions and concerts; by enabling the purchase of new instruments, scores, ... All this contributes to a dynamic functioning of the Academy and emphasizes the close relationship with the students and their families. If you want to become a supportive member of the Friends' Association, or roll up your sleeves during an activity, please contact Katleen Van Saet at kvansaet@berchem.brussels.

Communication

How does our school communicate with its community?

Our school is committed to open and transparent communication with all students, parents and the local community. The renewed website and the use of social media play a major role in this. In corona time, some articles were published in avant premiere from the upcoming SABberkrant, a communication channel with school-related information that will strengthen the mutual ties between all groups that make up our school community in the near future. Every year, efforts are also made at Het Treffen, an event at which the school's policy team passes on information about policy options, novelties, infrastructure problems, etc. to pupils, parents, friends, staff, organizing body, government and residents of the municipality.
